He hadn't really ever read books that weren't about magic before. It was something he'd never once thought he would do. However here he was, non-magic related book in hand, preparing to read.
He made long strides as he passed through the rows of books and towards the seating areas. An old, worn chair sat up against the window and curled upon it was none other than _____. Vlad smiled a little as he walked towards you. Seating himself in the chair across from you, he opened the first page.
The library was silent as per usual and the little ray of lights falling across your pages made the reading experience so much better. Once or twice, Vlad thought he saw you look up from your book and towards him, but he paid no attention to it. He didn't even notice when you started giggling at his face. Tongue poked out the side of his mouth and eyebrows furrowed, Vlad was definition of adorable.
It wasn't long before the book he was reading came to an end. It hadn't been a very long book in the first place. Finding it rather enjoyable, Vlad stood to retrieve another but paused when he saw you. A tiny smile flickered across your face and the Romanian couldn't help but copy it. He'd always thought that your smile was contagious.
Slowly and carefully he leaned down and placed his head near your shoulder. He read at a pace similar to yours and so had no trouble keeping up with you.
"You know that you can just sit beside me, right?" Her quite, amused tone filled the air around them and Vlad grinned. His breath tickled her ear and the back of her neck.
"I want you to sit on my lap though..." He whispered causing shivers to trail down your spine. A blush was rapidly spreading across your face as you stood and allowed the man to sit on the chair. You curled up on his lap and held the book in a way that you'd both be able to see.
The two of you read quietly into the night as you sat in the Romanian's library, at some point drifting off into a peaceful sleep.
